Hyundai’s Vertiport technology is being developed in the UAM project as a fundamental step towards urban aviation innovation. Known for its vertical transportation solutions, Hyundai Elevator is expanding into a new type of technology.
BusinessKorea reported that the company announced in May that it will start one of its key projects, the UAM, using Hyundai’s Vertiport technology in the UAM project.

Vertiport is the site that will be the controller of the UAM aircraft center. Hyundai Elevator Consortium, as the implementing organization for the design and development of the monitoring system, will carry out this project from April 2024 to December 2026.
Also, Vertiport was chosen by the Korean Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. Hyundai Elevator will jointly carry out the project with the Korea Certification Institute and the Korea National University of Transportation.
